sorry, not sure if this is the right forum for this question. mods feel free to move. I just want to know if anyone has any experience with osteopathy. I am considering visiting one but am worried that it is just another way of throwing away good money. any advice would be appreciated.

My training partner went to one and it was a total waste of time. He ended up finding a good physio who had him on the road to recovery in half the time.

I have had back problems on and off since I was a teenager and found the physio too agressive so tried an ostepath and found them better since they were more gentle. In saying that, if I had a sports injury I'd probably take the physio over the osteopath.

i've also been to a physio or two that couldn't do a thing for me...all physios must be a waste of time too...

I'm a neuromuscular therapist - Sports injuries, deep tissue, remedial massage, MET, etc.

These are things that Osteo's also do, but with a bit more detail.

Either can be good, but a lot of it depends on finding a reputed therapist.

So many options, Physiotherapists, Physical therapists, Neuromusscular therapists, Acupuncture.

They all work in one way or another, some better than others depending on the person
