    Hey,

I couldnt find a suitable forum but if you think theres a better one please move it there. Im just looking to be pointed in the right direction.

Someone asked me to help them setup some things as there looking into opening a store that will be doing digital image processing and also doing baby shoots in the shop with different backgrounds etc

Basically it will be a baby store where you can buy presents, clothes etc for babies but will also have the phototgraphy and digital processing as part of it too.

I was also thinking of adding things like Tshirt,Mug printing and all that kind of stuff aswell as the book printing, calenders of occasions like Holidays,Christnings etc and lastly offer passport photos

My question is what kind of printing equipment is availble for this? What would you recommend camera wise for Passport photos and baby pictures. Whats the best solution for the baby shoots, i was thinking something on the lines of a digital projector which can show loads of images in the background or do you think an actual in store set would be better?

The people behind it have lots of business experience, i have alot of experience in PCs, have done website design and minor graphic design,im pretty handy with fireworks but as for software what recommendations have you got, Fireworks is good but i find it clunky for text graphics etc

Lastly any other suggestions that would fit into the business would be greatly appreciated

You'd probably want a studio loghting kit for shooting and probably a full frame slr either canon or nikon so you can buy a wide lense and get the wideness just incase you have to shoot mother, dad, daughter and new baby pics or something. As for the passport pics iv seen a digi cam that docks on a printer set up to print pasposrt photos no idea where to get it from though maybne fuj make it,The printers will be supplied by hp or fuji they are the main ones iv heards of...

As for graphics web design photoshop cs3 adobe dreamweaver cs3 and maybe flash if you want to make some flash stuff

The photovision trade show is on in Croke Park in September and the exhibitors should be able to answer all your questions.
