Feeling old as HELL

I graduated High School in 1988. I was recently contacted by an old classmate asking me to come to the reunion.

I didn't really wanna go cuz I never kept up with anyone. After high school I began my career and started moving around.

Well, they had the reunion and HOLY SH*T they looked old! I couldn't get over how uncanny it was. One of the girls I had a crush on in school looked so different that I would never have known her if I'd ran into her somewhere.

    It was unbelievable.

What makes YOU people feel old?

Im only 19 but i met a 15 year old the other day i used to coach in tennis at my local club, he used to be an excrutiatingly annoying brat but he has matured into a nice enough lad. He spoke to me very respectfully, made me feel ancient!

When i meet the likes of an 18 year old and get on grand with them, then it'll suddenly hit me that they were born in 1990. Christ, that makes me feel old!

I'm 28 tomorrow. I don't feel or look (I hope) old at all but it's what's happening back home that worries me. All my friends are a couple years older than me and all of them are having babies/buying houses etc. So whenever I go home i'll be all alone! I'm worried about being too old to be cool in a few years :(

When I saw Reeling In The Years 1997 on RTE about a week ago, and realised I was a teenager then - that made me feel old. And I'm only 24.

To compensate for 'getting old' nature throws in some benefits, I won't spoil it for you young 'uns but take it from someone who has crossed the 40 rubicon its not the end of the world.............maybe just a wee bit nearer it :D

Age is a number and nothing but, feeling old is in the mind. (and the joints)
