Can't seem to get my mobile to connect to it?

Bluetooth is turned on and i can't figure out what i'm doing wrong. I'm getting a text box that says." Cannot use the connection type. Check that all the neeed hardware, software and drivers are availible"

    Any help appreciated....

on my laptop there's a button for enabling both the wifi and bluetooth and an icon in the system tray for configuring what the button does (enable bt or wireless or both)

Do you actually have a bluetooth module in your laptop or a bluetooth dongle attached and installed? I've seen this message when you try to connect without any pc bluetooth device present.

I have not had good experiences with PC Suite and bluetooth with both Vista and XP complaining about missing drivers.

If you tell us more about your setup we can probably help you more.

thanks for the replies, managed to get it working.

I've now transferred my messages..etc to Nokia PC suite.

Is there some way to actually view the text messages on the PC?

Suppose i lost the phone in the morning would the only way of seeing the messages be to transfer them to a new phone from the PC suite?
