I may have let my license lapse..

my 3rd provisional it seems was up in Feb 2008. I coulda sworn it was for 2 years.

I had applied for my full test but it clashed with the start date of a new job last Sept so I had to cancel it. I *may* have cancelled it a bit late also. *sighs*

Its just been a lot of cases of me just not having time or it's been unsuitable for me to apply for a license or go take a test.

Can I plead stupidity and get it renewed or do I gotta go back to a first provo license again?

You can renew a provisional for up to 5 years after it expired....

but as its your third you will also need evidence of having sat a test or applied for one...

I havent heard anything since I cancelled my test previous so I guess I'll just re.apply.

There's no need for the 'ffs'! - There is a very valid reason why form D201 is not available online.

I feel that I've explained this a thousand times but there is an adhesive part on the form - hence it can't be downloaded.

I'm in a somewhat similar position. My second provisional expired on the 1st of June. I have applied for my test and got my date from next month.

Do I just need to go to the motor office with my old license and the letter confirming I have a test date to renew my license yeah?

Is there any notable difference between the learner permit and a 3rd provisional license that I need to be aware of?

You'll need a completed application form, two photos and the fee also.

More or less - it will have a different code number to indicate that it is a 3rd LP.
