If a place is €150 a week can you add €20 out of your pocket to the 130 given by social welfare

What do you mean by 'allowed' ?!

If you want to give your landlord an extra 20 euro a week, then go ahead and do it. Its a free country!

Guys- this is the accommodation/property forum.
Act in a respectful manner towards fellow posters- or you will be banned.
OP- your original query is a little sparse on detail- perhaps you might like to elaborate.

    Regards,

    S.

If the rent is X, rent allowance is typically X less your contribution. You contribution is set at about €15-20.

There is an upper limit of the rent allowed, depending on how many people are involved - if you exceed this, you will get nothing.
