Support site for family members of terminally ill

    Hi all,
    A close friend of mine is going through a difficult time at the moment, one of her parents is very ill from cancer.
    Am trying to support her as much as I can, but was wondering does anyone know of any support websites I could recommend to her, I know it can be a help to find and get support from others who have gone through similar situations.

    It depends on what the family memeber is dying from as there are differing support groups.

    It's a cancer, unfortunately I'm not sure exactly which one, but it has spread to a lot of organs, and is in the bone marrow. Sorry I don't have the name of it.

    my father died 5 weeks ago today from leukemia.He had a hard battle against leukemia for last year and a half.Had him home for 6 weeks before he died and I helped my mother look after him,but in the end he had to go hos to die(he died 9 day after going back in)but it a great relieve in a way that he not suffering anymore.your friend so lucky to have a good friend like you trying to find out info for her/him.Just be there for your friend,times will be tough.I dont know about any cancer support groups.it was so hard to write this post(in tears at the mo) but i'm glad i did.

    Jackel, my heart really goes out to you, I am so sorry for your loss. I haven't had to go through something like that, so I don't know what it's like, but I hope that you find what you need to get through this. I'm so sorry for your loss.
