My absolute fave is Chris Botti. His finesse is 2nd to NONE.

Some of my favourites would include Miles Davis, the late great Irish trumpeter Mike Nolan, and Clifford Brown.

Miles is one of the all time greats. So is Louie. I'd LOVE to see Chris Botti in person. I've seen a lot of his shows on TV though. The pillows on stage covering up the wires is the best idea ever.

    Arve Henriksen for innovation.

Woody Shaw for his playing on Larry Young's Unity. Absolute firecraker stuff.

Freddie Hubbard for making very important contributions to many 60s masterpieces.

    Miles, for sounding like Miles.

Lee Morgan for composing Sidewinder, cracking tune.

You'll probs see me guiltily posting again after leaving out someone obvious
