I've booked a week away at Sol Costa Daurada from August 25th and was wondering what the best way of getting tickets for Port Aventura is? Should I look to book them before I go away or is it best to get them over there?

arrive at the park gates first thing in the morning as the park opens and you will kill two birds with one stone, quick entry to park and NO lines for attractions

If you are only going once or twice would also recommend getting express pass inside park . Its dear but you avoid a lot of queing time. If you have kids they must be over 140cm for most of the big thrill rides. My son was 2 cm too short when we were there 2 years ago and he wasn't a happy camper!

Thanks for the advice. I had been undecided about whether to get the 7days for 3 tickets but reckon we will just pay for 2 days and get the express add on to them as I really hate queing.

What way do the express tickets work? Is there a seperate queue for these or do we just skip to the front? Also is there any sort of limit with these tickets(i.e. can only be used once on each attraction)?

I reckon you will have done it all in 2 days with express tickets. There are seperate queues(lanes ) for express holders . Never saw a queue in the express lane . We didn't buy them as we had 2 week tickets. I have a feeling that there were certain times of day where there were some restrictions on their use but I'm sure you can find that out beforehand. I would definately recommend as we spent nearly 1.5hours queuing for one ride when there was a 5 min express queue!

I think the express tickets are daily only so you would have to purchase again on the 2nd day .

express tickets are daily as already stated there is a seperate line and they are well worth it, there is no limitation as to the amount of times you use it.. I went on the Dragon Kahn rollercoaster literally 5 or 6 times in a row, hopped off, walked straight back up the express que and hopped straight back on, mind you by the 5th or 6th time I was starting to feel a little green and had to take a break! But the express tickets are well worth it!
