    Hey Guys,

Had a big filling about 8 years ago. After chewing some gum A bit fell out last week, and another bit has fallen out since.

Its a small bit sore but nothing too serious. At the time, the dentist told me I'd probably need a crown in the future.

I've just finished college, and starting a job in september, but pretty broke at the moment.

Firstly, do you have to get root canal work when you get a crown?

Also, how much should I expect to pay in total?

Is it worth going abroad for the work?

    Thanks,
    M

I am in a similar boat myself. I have being offered a choice between a root canal an a crown or an extraction. The massive cost of the first is forcing me to consider treatment abroad.
