How do I.....?

I think this is a relatively simple thing to so...except....I don't know how!

I have a Nokia 6230 (network is O2). I have a ringtone (wav file) on my PC that I want to use on the phone. My PC-phone cable is the wrong type and I'd rather not shell out for another one just to get the ringtone onto the device...

So....I reckon I should be able to send an SMS or multi-media msg to the phone from the PC with the wav attached and then, when I receive the msg, unclip the wav from it and load it into the phone gallery....

Anybody know how to do this?

    Thanks!

Not sure about the texting, but do you have a memory card reader on your pc (or printer if you have one attached) - you should have an MMC card for the phone - you can put this in the card reader, put the file on it and then put the MMC card back into your phone.

Or get a friend with a modern phone(6300 or something like that) transfer the wav file to his/her phone and then send via bluetooth to your own phone!

Erm... are you sure the phone plays .wav files in the first place? Most can only handle mp3 or various 3gp formats.
