I need an outfit for my college graduation, but am not sure what to wear under my robe. I presume it's formal, but what sort of formal? Interview? Debs? I tried on pretty much everything in Coast and Monsoon and failed due to my large chest size, so ideally it'd have straps or maybe be wrap around. Budget is about 300 euro.

I will love you forever if ye can help me! I don't want to be the only one dressed in jeans and cons on the day :)

I'm a bloke so this probably won'tbe much help, but I just wore a suit, shirt and tie. Plenty turned up in jeans and runners/shoes though. Everyone just looked respectable and had whatever outfit they wanted to wear to the graduation ball. That's probably not much help, sorry can't really remember much else about it.

I wore a strapless dress which was silk black and white floral print from Monsoon with black heels.

A nice dress that can go from day to evening. Try karen millen. I seen a few nice things in there lately.

Wear whatever you want. It's YOUR graduation.

In my day, most people wore the sort of thing they would wear to an interview, though some wore jeans and the sky did not fall in.

i get the impression this is a dig at my first reply. the only reason i said not to wear jeans was that the OP clearly stated that they didnt want to be the only one wearing jeans/cons on the day and from past experience graduations tend to be dressy affairs.

just as long as youre not scruffy its really a case of anything. there were girls at my grad in anything from cocktail dresses to trouser suits.

    1st grad i wore a skirt & heels & a nice top. 2nd a wore trousers & heels & a nice top. the robe covered it all anyway! :)
