    Hi,

I just bought this dress for a friends wedding. The only prob is i have very dark brown hair and have a block of red (like a real firey red) along my parting so as my hair falls i've got lots of red on the crown of my head.. anyways i dont think this will go well with the dress..

Should i just dye my hair back to my natural really dark brown for the wedding as i don't think the red will look well with the dress?

    Any suggestions??

PS i really really love my red lights-would hate to get rid of them but i want to look really really well for the wedding!

I don't see a problem with it at all. Leave it as is.

I know what you mean, I had pink shoes and a bag for a wedding recently but ended up wearing black because I was afraid they would clash with my now (kinda) red hair.

I don't see any problem with your dress and hair colour though. Your dress is lovely btw!

Meh, people worry too much about this.

I've had all sorts of mad colours in my hair as highlights, purple, red, orange, yellow, green, blue etc, it used to change weekly.

And i always wore what i wanted to wear, and while i wear slightly funky stuff i do dress pretty normally.

You had the guts to break away from the crowd and get something different done with your hair, dont go covering it up cos you're worried it won't conform!!

In fact I think it would put a nice quirky edge to a very classic dress, which would be all the better if somebody else has it on at this wedding.

Go show your hair off..... give two fingers to the b*****s!!

    And enjoy the day!!

The dress is absolutely gorgeous! Imo if you are even thinking of changing your hair and feel a bit unsure about it then I say go for it and change it. Confidence is key and if you want to look and feel your very best then go for something you know suits you. Personally speaking I don't really like block colours on hair like that, just personal opinion, it's just that every single trainee hairdresser in Dublin seems to have one and it can look, dare I say it, a bit common (Miss Fluff runs for cover at contraversial statement:eek:)

Op, if the dress was pale blue or lilac Id see the issue but your (fabulous) dress is the perfect colour to go with brown and red hair! Red shoes would be brilliant go for it :)

Are you worried because there is a hint of pink in the dress? I don't think there is enough pink to worry about it.

However your post suggests that it isn't the dress you are worrying about, but the fact that people won't approve of your hair. If you are happy with your hair the way it is, then don't change it. However, if you've had a change of heart about your hair or feel you've grown out of it, then treat yourself to a new colour.

Either way, do what YOU want, not what you think others would expect.

Lovely dress, i'm sure there won't be a duplicate there!

You say the red is in the parting of your hair. Maybe there is a way of putting your hair into a style so it hides the colour?

If you're going for red accessories, there's a real nice red clutch bag with bow detail in New Look for €11. I have to get meself that!
