As the title suggests I am seeking information on luggage storage at Reno airport. Im flying into Reno from Vegas and 11 days later flying from Reno to LAX and would like to offload some of my stuff. If anyone knows if they provide this facility or has used it or some other solution in a simular situation id be very grateful if you could post the details. I have contacted the airport via email but have not yet recieved a response.

Also does anyone know if its possible to send my luggage from Reno to LAX ahead of my flight and store it in their new facility there?

    Thanks :)

like alot of american airports post 9/11 there is no longer left luggage facilities at reno airport. there is checked baggage section at reno's amtrack train station in the middle of town though

Thanks for that Rossie, have you used this before? Any ideas on price, do I need to buy a train ticket or can I just use their service. Sorry dont really understand how it works, does checked baggage mean it has been checked through at the airport or what?

    Thanks again

Reno bus station doesn't do left luggage anymore. Post 9/11 trouble.

The train station is your best bet. It is down town beside a strip club. ;)

i haven't used the one in reno but i have checked bags in at numerous amtrak stations across the USA like new yorks penn station, chicagos union, downtown LA etc. The cost is usually around $4-5 per bag per day and no you don't need to buy a train ticket, just walk up and pay.

amtrak have nothing to do with the airport you will have to bring the bags to and from the airport yourself. reno airport is only about 4 miles southeast of downtown where the amtrak station is located

About $12 in a taxi. Bus is a bit of a tour in itself and will take you to the Citifare station located on 4th and Center about a quater of a mile from the amtrak station.
