    I'm wondering is there any service where I could watch free to air channels on my laptop without need for a dish etc.?

    I know its possible on a mac with a piece of hardware and software that you can buy should be on the apple store
    I've seen a good few of them advertised and reviewed
    do you know what channels are free to air?

    also www.rte.ie/live streams content all day long ...

    there's a new rolling news channel there too www.rte.ie/newsnow

    you can't actually watch the programs on BBC if you live outside tyhe UK though - only listen to their radio programs.. :confused:

    Channel 4's On Demand service works in Ireland.
    It's Windows only though.

    There's also Sky On Demand if you have Sky, which is also Windows only.

    Watch South Park free and legal. It was posted in Bargain alerts ages ago and still working my way through the episodes. Just click on an episode from the finder on the homepage.
