    Hi guys,
    Some questions.

intel c2d 2ghz with 2gigs of ram running xp pro.

Video streaming or even playing in vlc is very jittery when I have something else going on like downloading or extracting from a rar.
You get these little popping sounds while its doing anything else at all. I thought these could multitask half well?

The laptop overall is quite slow now, can anyone recommend a good all around cleanup tool?

cccleaner is good free program, privacymantra is similar, gets rid of old file, temp files, cleans browser cache.you need at least 2gig free space for winxp, it caches video files.,for smooth operation.google cccleaner download.

also programs like spybot or adaware to check you dont have spyware. Also ensure that your using the max performance power settings for the laptop and not the power saving features.

depending on your graphics controller you should easilly be able to play several video files at once, in multiple programs (even from the same video file) without any lag.
