    hi everyone,

im looking for advice because i'm just starting a new part time job today in a bar. i told my new employer that iv never worked before because my last employer was horrible and would have given me a bad reference. but now my new employer is looking for a p45, i told him i dont have one (because supposedly i never worked before) but when he logs my pps no into the system he'll know that i already have a p45 from my last job. what will i do? could i give it to accounts without explaining anything?

Ring the revenue office. Tell them you have lost your P45. Ask them for your tax information.

Give this information to the accounts people.

That's all you need to do.

You are under no obligation to show ur P45 to the new employer.

They have NO right to see it.

Just advise the revenue of ur new employers details and that will do.

In passing just remember that if ur new employer finds out you lied, he can fire you, even beyond the probation period.
