    Hi
I have decided to do a major overhall of my make up which is fairly pathetic at the minute.
I have decided to buy some MAC eyeshadows but seeing as I'm officially a mulchie from the sticks i live about 2 hours away from the nearest MAC retailer. I have decided therefore to buy some eyeshadows via the web.
    so my question is :

How much do mac eyeshadows retail for in BT's approx.?

I know some of the limited editions are more expensive but an approx cost of any shade from the permanent line would be appreciated (not refills btw)

Also has anyone bought MAC brushes from ebay. The difference in price for the same brush sets are staggering. I know that some are fake so I'm trying to source them from a reputable seller.

    Many thanks
    Sinead

Single eyeshadows are €15 in BTs, cheaper in airport

I have bought Mac eyeshadows on ebay for 5-7e each. Just do research and find a reputable seller and dont buy ANY Mac products from the Far East and 99% are fake.

Personally i think Mac is too hyped up for the quality you get. Thier foundations are terrible. I find Urban Decay eyeshadows 10 times better than Mac.

Re: Make up brushes, i have bought some from The Body Shop, range in price from 12e to around 35e. Really good quality too.

Don't buy any Mac eyeshadows on ebay which have a number in the name, obvious fakes as there are no numbers in Mac eyeshadow names.

In fact, I would hardly buy any Mac eyeshadow on Ebay anymore. You need a really good eye for it.

Here is a good forum for help on fake Mac.

I second what dymondz said, Urban Decay eyeshadows go on beautifully and smoothly and stay on ages, find MAC shifts during the day.

If you are going to buy mac on ebay, I HIGHLY recc. my-boo-kitty. She is an amazing trustworthy seller and really lovely to deal with.

The whole Urban Decay range is quite good, I have trouble with eyeshadow just sliding off after an hour or so. Their eyeshadows have a high pigment content, so stays put on me. I also bought the cream tick you out on before the eyeshadow and I've woken up from an alcohol induced coma with my eyeshadow still intact. I have a few Mac eyeshadows, and much prefer urban decay.

The bodyshop brushes are really good as well, but the mac ones are better imo.

just something i thought id share, im an avid mac eyeshadow wearer and it doesnt slip for me, i use l'oreal infallable foundation and i put it on my eyelids, before the foundation has set/dried i put on the eyeshadow. with a base to latch onto i find it doesnt budge, andi too have often woken up from heavy drinking with the shadown still in tact!

as for brushes, I use Chanel
