Hi, Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for a dispute resolution with the PRTB to come up?

My previous landlord kept 400 euro of the deposit for "cleaning fees", which we're disputing. I applied to the PRTB yesterday but want to know how long to expect to wait

Several months from the anecdotal evidence I've heard. It is seriously underequipped for the task it faces.

They have hired more junior to middle managment so hopefully things will improve.

You might phone them and ask.

The PRTB are much slower with the majority of their cases at the moment. You could have a hearing within a month or two but not get a result for a year I'm afraid. They've been clamping down hard on sticking exactly to the law but unfortunately landlord and tenant law is open to a lot of interpretation so a lot of cases are being sent back to the adjudicators for further clarification. Don't expect a result until next year, if you get one before then count yourself lucky.

    Thanks for the replys.

I'm still hoping to sort this out between the landlord and myself and only applied to the PRTB as a backup and to try and push the landlord. So hopefully I won't need to wait for the PRTB.
Even still I had thought it would be quicker if it did come to having to use them.
