Mayo Dail deputy and Fine Gael Spokesperson on Community, , Rural and Gaeltacht and mobile phones Dep Michael Ring had a phoney week alright...

And the Mayo Advertiser (Aug 8, 2008) is as always at hand: on page 8 Ring rants about the government's failure to outlaw unregistered prepay mobile phones. He believes making it impossible (?) to buy phones anonymously will bring drug criminals to their knees, and thusly improve all things rural, gaeltacht-y and communal....

Now, all practicalities aside, my favourite part: you move on to the Business section of the very same edition of the Mayo Advertiser, and there is a laughing Michael Ring with really big scissors, but he isn't cutting up sim-cards ....No, he's there at the opening ceremony of a new C&C cellular shop on Belmullet.:D For the uninformed: C&C cellular are a Vodafone franchise, Vodafone's patients customer ratio is about 70% prepay to 29.99999% bill-pay (plus a bit of Michael Ring)...

My point, you ask? Nothing, really... I just love it ;):p:eek::mad:
