i was banned from one of the forums...wont go into details here but i think it was unfairly so and the person i posted about took my comment up wrong and i didnt get a chance to explain exactly what i meant to defend myself before i was banned. ive now been banned for a week (fair enough its only a week) but i completely think it was unfair.

i dont mind going into details over PM but could someone please hear my case. or does anyone know how i could get in contact with so my side is heard (the mod who banned me told me to try here...)

    thanks

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055348468

    thats the thread,

ok to shorten it down for you, some said her cat was missing with kittens and then she said the cat was spayed and my exact words were 'thats a lie' she took this us as me calling her a liar. but its true im a trainee vet and i know that it cant be possible to neuter with such young kittens. i wanted to make sure people knew it was a lie as im sure many owners might neuter thinking she did and it was ok. this can be dangerous as blood vessels are still dilated (sorry...i know this is probably boring for you...) and it can cause more blood loss then if they wait a few weeks until after birth.

i dont know why she said they were neutered (actually i do...other people on the post kept commenting saying stuff like 'oh you wouldnt be in this situation if youd neutered' etc) and i can understand why she felt she needed to defend herself

she did take it totally wrong and i never got a chance to defend my self or explain before being banned.

so if you could please look over the situation and let me know it would be much appreciated.

Your reply was worded poorly (to say the least).

You never mentioned in the post that you were a trainee vet, and even if you are, it's better to imply the fact by conveying your position eloquently and with an obvious base of knowledge.

Perhaps the posters vet operates differently to how you're being trained? I'm not veterinarian, but ones prescription/diagnosis can vary Doctor to Doctor amongst humans. People can be wrong. Calling a poster a liar straight up was out of line, you got a proverbial smack on the wrist (a one week ban that will lift automatically one week from the hour it was issued) with the idea that you come back with the attitude of personal respect befitting the forum.

I won't bore you with an analogy, but try to imagine that conversation playing out in real life from the position of the popebenny16, an honest, long time contributor to boards.ie.

Then you haven't learned anything from the incident and the next time you get banned maybe you'll have a longer time to consider it.
