So we've done the size/weight thing to death. Let's objectify people by height.

I personally think short men are an abomination and should be culled from the gene pool.

I'm 5'8'' and would generally go for guys 5'10 to 6'2. Last ex was same height I made an exception coz he was a fine thing but I really resented not getting to wear heels around him.

I also find it hard to take women under 5'5'' seriously. One of my old bosses was a thundering bitch. When she'd start her **** I'd just stand up it made me feel much better.

5ft 8" is not very tall. I went out with a girl about that height. Im 6ft tall, maybe above average for an Irish person but certainly not tall anymore... I guess its the immigration and the younger generation is taller.
When i was growing up, i was 6ft at 12 and i could walk down Henry street and tower over everyone :D it was great.

My wife is short, 5ft5" or so.

I know plent of small men (5' to 5'8 [my height]) and none of them would have that condition. I think its a stereotype forward by short scumbags who would be scumbags regardless of height.

I didn't say all short men have "Short Man Syndrome".

I just hate the ones who do.

Aren't midgets the little biting insects that attack you when relaxing in a beer garden or at a barbeque - as in "those bloody midgets have me destroyed with bites"

This is quite interesting, the proper term for "Small Man Syndrome" is infact "Napoleon Complex"

    No.

    Midges

    Midgets

I don't know about small man syndrome but there is definitely something about big guys not needing to be agressive coz their size speaks for itself.

I have a friend who is 6'5'' and built like a brick outdoor facilty. He's never so much as felt the need to raise his voice to anyone. The look on his face the day he met someone bigger than him was hilarious. It was like his whole concept of reality had shattered.

Listen "Des", I'll bate ye, right? You think I can't? It's not the size of the small body, it's what you do with it. I could loaf you in the hip, ok? So pipe down!

With my outstretched arm, and my palm resting on your forehead, I could hold you off.

    So stop getting uppity, ok.

Don't make me angry, man. You don't want to mess with me when I'm angry. You don't know how easily I could throw a temper tantrum, cry really really hard and then sob myself to sleep, ok?

You don't want to see me unleash that ****.

    Nothin' wrong with being small!
Except when it comes to like, buying clothes.
Still buying from the children's section isn't exactly my idea of fun.

That's gotta suck. In my house, my parents have appointed me (apparently) official light-bulb changer. I have two sisters who're a couple inches taller than me, but I'm the one who changes the lightbulbs.

they clearly think this is hilarious and are secretly video taping your desperate attempts to reach the lightbulbs with chairs balancing on dictionarys balancing on egg cups and posting it on youtube. theyve probably subscribed to a website dedicated to tiny people doing tall people jobs.

Oh it's nothing to do with height. I don't walk near people very often to notice a difference and in my household I'm the 2nd tallest of 8 people. My superiority is down purely to how amazing I am.

Though you seem pretty obsessed with this Small Man Syndrome. Got a chip on your shoulder? Outsmarted by a short man? Looking for a way to blame it on somebody or something other than yourself? We're here to help.

I went into histerics the other day when my friend sat down on our couch and her feet didn't touch the floor...I wouldn't even consider that small.

Also laughed at the little French guy I work with hopping on a chair to close a window this morning. I had opened it earlier, no chair. Think I might open it again for my amusement. 5'11 (female) has its advantages!

I'm in proportion so my height's not all that big a deal for me.

Aprt from the not-reaching-stuff thing. That can be annoying.

I'm a guy and i'm only 5'8 , doesn't really bother me to be honest i've never had a problem getting women and anyone who has commented on it wouldn't be someone i'd be interested in.

In regard to big guy's not needing to be aggressive, being short doesn't make people aggresive or feel the need to make up for anything, what about a 5'7 or 5'8 guy who is a skilled MMA or kickboxer? I don't think we would be aggresive when out or fear people bigger than us.
