    Adverts is sh1te.
Better off going to buy and sell or ebay.

I've had a few ads up on adverts, all you get is tyre kickers. Put something up for €100 and next thing you get a PM offering you €30 or some smart ass posting that it's not worth it.

Also you can't seem to be able to close the ads if you decide not to sell through adverts, and you can't post the item anywhere else another site for example, where they get off telling you that is another matter.

You should really be able to do it here, like the cycling forum...

I've bought and sold a rake of stuff on Adverts.ie - it's quite useful for most things, for really specialist stuff it's best to use the Buy & Sell but Adverts is handy as generally the haggling is done before anyone leaves their gaff.

Sold lots on adverts.ie - lots of messers too though.

If you give a price and then put 'open to reasonable offers' it usually discourages the "I'm going to offer you less than half of your asking price because you providing an asking price obviously doesn't give any indication of how much you want or expect to get" brigade.

Hardly a big deal. I mean, it's not like it's hard just to say "no thanks".

I know its not, but as the others said tyre kickers and chancers abound.
