DPC : Stone Cladding?

I am cladding a block built house with limestone, the cladding is about 9" in thickness. There will be no plint, the stone will be built directly off the block footing which is 18" below the DPC level on the blockwork.
Do I need to place a DPC in the stonework? The blockwork is cavity wall with extratherm insulation.
Could rising damp travel up through stone? if so how would it enter the dwelling as the cavity should be a barrier?
    Thanks.
