So disappointed i just went out and treated meself to a new rifle.:D:D:D it's the .223 tikka t3 tactical with a 1:8 twist 20" barrel which i intend to us as a target and hunting rifle. Did i do the right thing?? I personnaly think so. ;)

well if you couldnt get the scout then what you have would be the next best thing in my mind as it has the same twist rate.
all i can say is best of luck and keep us informed

The Tactical seems to be a cracking rifle, don't think you've strayed too far from sanity. ;)

Don't have one myself but know someone who's absolutly delighted with it. ( The local foxes aren't ) I've seen what he can do with it and as far as my knowledge of Tikka goes that particular rifle with good mounts and good glass is a fine combination.

    Never ask that! :D
Buy the rifle, then burn the catalogs, delete the website bookmarks, and listen to noone for six months until it's just another bit of kit you own :D
