    Look Usa have recalled all Keo Pedals except for the Ti model manfactured between January 2004 and December 2005. There's been reports of the steel axle breaking which is pretty serious.

    So it's just the ones sold in america that are being recalled ?

    No-one is sure. Look in France are closed until the end of August so there's no confirmation if these pedals were ever sold outside of the US.

    Well from a safety point of view it's just as well it rains so much in this country cos we could be out on your bikes injuring ourselves cos of dodgy pedals !

    I've got a pair of 05 Sprints which fall into the recall bracket. Will wait a bit to see what happens.
    14 reported cases out of 80,000 though..............:confused::confused:

    You can't say for certain though. All Look pedals are made in one factory in France, so it's possible that some were sold in Europe too.

    Off topic (said I'd post in this thread as opposed to opening another thread),
    but are Look cleats compatibile across all Look pedals i.e. will my Classics work in a Sprint pedal or do I need to buy a Sprint cleat?

    Thanks.

    No the new cleats on the Look Keo range are smaller than the old delta cleats.

    This recall now applies to Europe as well:

    If it is a Keo Classic Pedal and a Keo Sprint pedal then yes.

    All Keo pedals use the same cleat. The older pedals (Non-Keo) all use the Look Delta, SO if your pedal has the name Keo in it anywhere then you will be fine.

    Anyone actually been in contact with their LBS about this recall yet ? If so what'd they say or do ?
