So we are coming up to the After Hours 10th Anniversary in January 2009, so just wondering how many mods have modded this place over the 10 years , did they enjoy their time as mod, and would they ever consider taking up moderatorship again on After Hours or has it scarred them for life .

For example Terry left and is now back , he loves it all so much.

Thought it was great fun the vast majority of the time, and the vast majority of the posters are great. Sadly, it does draw muppets like flies to sh1t, so that could get to me - sure, it's only the interweb, but just like the fun, friendly stuff gives you good vibes, the nasty stuff gives you bad vibes...

It seems to be modded very well in the 18 months i have been around tbh. Although Mordeth has yet to shake his booty for real around here yet so i will wait and see

It was longer ago than that when he stepped down as AH Mod, iirc, and I believe his password was scrambled at the time.

No.

Instead of "deleting" an account that people don't want to use anymore, the Admin-types recommend a user scrambles their password, kind of type in a meaningless string of random characters that they'd never remember and throw away the evidence, so they can't use their account any more.

Sorry, it looks like I said it was done on him, afaik he did it himself so he could just go.

I'm just back off a months ban after AH made me do something crazy and out of character.

Maybe some people, mods especially, take AH far too seriously and end up going nutso.

I think people usually do it when they want to quit because it's eating up their time but can't.

Nope. Terry. But Giblet gave it up very shortly after, so Terry came back. My prayers that I'd get to co-mod with Terry were answered! :pac:

Actually, it was my first time and all the lads were very gentle with me, even Terry.
Monty didn't do much though...

No I was modding for seven months pretty much to the day. I got my "powers" (cue abuse) on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day and finished up last Friday (the 1st).

Ah, I thought you said somewhere recently that it was 11 months.

In that case...yeah, the dates make sense.

Still though, it seems longer.
