    Hi,

I'd like some critique on my second venture into studio work (in my dining room). These are straight from the camera - no mods apart from resizing.

I'm having trouble putting the photos here - they're not showing (only an image place-holder box) so they're at www.flickr.com/photos/cooligphoto

I'm planning another studio shoot in a few months.

    Thanks.

Is there any chance you could pick about 4 photos you'd like us to have a look at?

    See if this shows up...

If it works, I'll put more up - though there's only a dozen there.

Not too fond of the lighting, it seems a bit off and the colors are very bland. The poses and models are nice, but the lighting really throws the whole thing off...

If you right click on the image and get the url of the photo, (which ends in .jpeg) and put that in the ;)" alt="brackets, it'll work ;)" />

The colour/white balance seems off in most of the images. If the first one is accurate (which I think it is), then the rest need some white balance adjustment.

I quite like the first image. Nice light, pose and shot.

The 2nd, the focus seems a bit off. The image is a little soft and white balance - the skin tones seem wrong.

The images seem to need a little work - sharpness and colour.

    Thanks.

I'll have a play with the raw files and see what I can come up with.

They're taken on my new D2X which doesn't have focus assist - I found a few were slightly out of focus where I'd not watched for focus lock before recomposing (my D80 beeps when it's locked).

I'll have to get a SB800 to give me focus assist.

Actually, the 2nd 3rd and 4th shots are all using gold reflector on the strobe.
