Is this normal enough practice, to bring a photo of what you want your hair to look like for fellas. Like, I know that it's common enough for women to do it but it it normal enough for lads to do it too.

    Thanks.

Well... what are you worried about? That they'll think you're a gay? They definitely will. But you'll get your hair the way you want it.

    It's a trade-off.

Do what you want! Why not? Not everyone is the neanderthal that Phlann is.:(

I did it - albeit in Sydney - and got exactly the sort of haircut i wanted. Picture paints a thousand words and all that.

    I lol'd.

Young lad did it in my local one day when I was in there.
Some 70something year old fella with a handful of hairs on his head to get cut ripped into him  "Jaaaysus in my day they took the scissors and cut your hair and that was that! That was that!" and the sort.

I wouldn't do it down the local, I'd have no worries going into town to do it if I wanted it done a certain way.

Nobody is going to think you're 'gay', and besides I'm sure (if you're not) you know that yourself so what do you care anyway? You're getting a haircut, why not get your moneys worth. Go for it.

Fella I used to know took a picture of himself into the haidressers (not barbers)

    Not gay, just a twat.

You might get away with it in Peter Marks or the Grafton barber on Knights on the Green but don't think there'd be much point in bringing it into Sams barbers and looking for the 5 euro special.

Most barbers are of the "what number blade do you want round the back and sides" school of hair-cutting. If you want anything more intricate than that then you'll probably have to go to one of the more expensive barbers !

Yea absoloutely mate.......Your paying for a service so why not get the best out of this service!

Id recommend Sams Barbers on the quays (not sure which quays do) its by far the best barbers in Dublin! Slightly over the odds than your average local barber but you get a fantastic service in a fantastic atmosphere with friendly staff! And they would have no qualms about you bringing in a picture. Best of luck.:)

I'm from Monaghan so I won't be going to Sam's any time soon.

I'm getting it cut tomorrow in my local. Bringing a photo. Fúck it, I'm paying for it, I'll get what I want. :P
