Im thinking of taking up judo and thai boxing but I dont know if the training would be intense enough for me to abandon my 3 x 20 minute very intense interval aerobic sessions.Basically 2 nights of thai boxing and 2 nights of judo per week. I would also like some suggestions for weight training to complement this cardio work?

moved to Self Defense and Martial arts. OP if you want wegiht training advice you're best to keep that separate and start a new thread in Fitness.

Who knows? The only way your going to find out is to try it and listen to your body.

I suggest you read the stickies regarding weight training. Do some research and formulate your own plan.

To be honest its gonna be a lot more intense than you think. You need to do your lifting to be sports specific. What exactly are your training goals?

That really depends on how fit and dedication you are. Why not just try it out and see how get on?

Your interval sessions are nowhere near as intense as a decent MA class would be tbh.

How do you know you'll even like judo or Thai? Drop your interval sessions to two a week and get in a class of each for a couple of weeks, then you can evaluate where to go next.

What are your goals, ie are you thinking of competing, strenght/mass gains or weight loss?? As some of the lads have suggested, why not try a class in both (pretty much guarantee you'll get a surprise at the required cardio level in either Judo or Muaythai) and see how you get on!
