Big shoes

    I have a big problem. Two of them. The little bastards hang around at the end of my legs and cause me no end of trouble.

    I'm a size 13 UK and I need to get some shoes. Decent shoes. I tried the place on the quays, and they were cheap but flimsy and have fallen apart rather quickly. I don't mind ordering online, but they have to actually fit my feet. Most places don't stock a size 12; forget 13.

    I want to get a pair of black lace-up cap-toe oxfords to wear with a suit, to start with. Some decent, non bling trainers or soft shoes would be good too.

    I'll be in Berlin at the end of this month if anyone knows anywhere there (I think I'm a 48 European?)

    Any ideas?

    Found some good places:

    Fitzpatricks on Grafton Street sell some Barker's in a wide size 12 and 13. They don't have a huge range in those sizes, but you can order in shoes if you find a pair you like. That's what I've done for my dress shoes. (What the hell is with hi-shine shoes, by the way?)

    I picked up some casual shoes from Pavers in the Blanchardstown centre (actually in one of the retail parks, right near Borders). They had a sale on this week, and I picked up a pair of Caterpillars and Hush Puppies for a reasonable price.
