Both are beautiful and purple is definitely 'in' at the moment. The second one is a bit more quirky. If you've got boobs go for the first dress if not stick to the Karen Millen dress.

I've got boobies indeed :p that's why I was thinkin of the Karen Millen. Because I have really long legs I thought having boobs and legs on show at a wedding might look a bit vulger.

The freemans dress will suit you better if you have boobs.

If you have it flaunt it....

You'll get to the stage, where you will be hiding your boobs and legs.. So enjoy them while you can..

Just stick on a shawl for the church.

    I like the first one.

The Freemans one is beautiful...I WANT, I WANT, I WANT!!! :D <-- that green colour is also how envious I am :), if you have the legs for it go with that and a nice pair of heels

Hmmm, if you got really nice legs, I'd go for the Karen Millen one.

I'm not feeling the Freeman's one at all, don't like that tiny ruffly bit at the bottom.

I beg your pardon in advance for this, but I think the Freeman's one looks cheap....
But it's hard to tell just looking at pictures from the website. Might look completely different on you.

The freemans one for sure. The other dress is a horrible colour.

I love the colour of the Freemans one although I think the dress itself is a bit cheap looking. I love the colour and design of the Karen Millen one, a lot more suitable for a wedding, will look like you have made more of an effort, it's refreshingly different and will show off those long legs really well......lucky cow;)

I don't particularly like either.. but if forced to pick one.. it would be the first one.

    Both are nice.
But I think the Karen Millen one looks much nicer for a wedding, lovely style and colour.
End of the day the choice is up to you tho :)
    Have fun!

the karen millen one is alot classier , the first one is nice but a lil bit cheap looking

Thanks for the replies everyone all advice noted :D i'm still a bit undecided to be honest I might get both :o

I think the KM one might be most appropriate for the wedding especially for the church and the weather we have been getting lately it might be nice to be a bit covered up.

Would silver strappy sandles be ok? Maybe with toes painted same colour as the dress?

Go for pale gold sandals. It will look the biz! I did the purple dress pale gold sandals at the weekend and got lots of compliments.

That sounds bang on :) Just make sure you get a killer bag, don't get a cheap-lookin silver one, it'll just drag the dress down.

Gold would be nice but I havn't much gold jewellery and I got new silver jewellery recently so that's why I was thinking of going for the silver.

Yeah I wore purple and soft gold wedges too, much nicer combination than purple and silver!!!

Edit: I prefer the Karen Millen one! And here it is on ebay for a fraction of the price!! They have it there in most sizes actually! http://cgi.ebay.ie/KAREN-MILLEN-PURPLE-ORGANZA-FLORAL-DRESS-SIZE-10-BNWT_W0QQitemZ370073493925QQihZ024QQcategoryZ15724QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    Prefer the first one.

I have a dress almost the same shape as the Karen Millen one, I love it! I've worn it to a wedding and my friend borrowed it too for a wedding. But why do you specify informal wedding OP? Do you think it's not "fancy" enough? I think it's a beaut.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 968 ✭✭✭Pigletlover

I like the two of them, but the first one is a bit nightdressy, more suited to a night out. I say go for the second one with silver sandals, gold would be nice too, but only a very pale shade.

I think the Karen Millen one is gorgeous, I'd go for that one.
