We are getting married later this month, I just wondering does anyone know what the situation is about taking a wedding dress onto a Ryanair flight?

We're putting mine and his suit in a garment carrier and it'll go through as hand luggage. You will not be allowed an extra seat for it, unless of course you buy one.

Last year my friend brought a suitcase just for her dress and checked it in .... which is all very well, it did get there in one piece, but they were charged a lot in excess baggage because the ryanair check in weight is 15 kilo per person.

i'd say go for the suit carrier....
