Presumably there are better ways to record, which i hope someone can recommend me? Had a look at one of the stickies and i see there are numerous software packages, just downloaded and had a look at reaper

I'll be recording from a mini disc player (mini disc deck) through digital into the breakout box from the xfi.

Hope someone can help me out.
