Why should I stay up?

Ok here's the story, every summer I eventually fall into a sleeping pattern of about 2-2, but not this summer! I've been working since June and only stopped on Friday, but already I have found myself beginning to stay up that bit later...


So should I give in to my nocturnal urges?



Or should I keep a nice normal sleep before midnight rise before midday pattern?

Nocturnal urges involve staying online even though my eyes are falling out of my head and posting random chitchat on boards and msn.

If left to my own devices yes, between 10 and 12 hours. But if I have to get up i'd sleep from about 11:30-7:30.


If I get less than 8 hours I'm a little bitch when I wake up, heh.

Thats a long time to sleep! I'd love that..although not every night, I actually think I've more energy through the day if I get up early.
Saying that, I work crap hours in the summer, and like yourself, fall into a bad routine. Usually fall asleep around 2 and get up around 8. The joys of hotel work!
I'd say if you're able to get yourself out of that routine of 2-2 when you need to then whats the harm. Get your 12 hours a night, many would kill for it

Sleep is one of the greatest pleasures in life, there is nothing nicer than waking up and knowing you don't have to get up and then falling back to sleep.


But it does get damn boring after a while so that's why I came on here :pac:

Some people actually prefer night to day. I like the peace and quiet and the solitude sometimes. I draw alot at night, and sometimes write the odd song. I get my creative on much more at night.

I agree 100% - I tend to write pretty much entirely at night, I "draw" (it's very bad).. so yup, more creative at night!

I hear that! Have a 6-4 thing goin' meself. You'd be shocked and amazed at teh lack of sleep most o teh nocturnals here get! An average of five hours or some crap! They don't know what they're missin' I tells ya.

For me what makes staying up later enjoyable is the peace and quiet. the day never really starts till 3 anyway too, and it doesn't get dark till like 11, so there is no need to put excessive pressure on yourself by waking up too early.

There's plenty of chit-chat to be found in the lair anyhow.
