Ryanair - could I use vouchers

Just a bump on this topic.

I was looking on Ryanair's site and realised I could get flights to Newcastle for €2 return all in (bar the handling fee). I want to book a few of them, and then ask friends later if they wanted to go or not. Seeing as its only €2 its worth the risk.

However, the handling fee bumps it up to €12 pp, and makes it less appealing to take the risk. I was just thinking to myself though. Would buying a Ryanair gift voucher and then redeeming it against the flights get around the handling fee? As far as I can see, there is no handling fee on the gift voucher purchase, and they could hardly issue one when redeeming the voucher.

Anyone have any experiences with buying/using the gift vouchers?

Well firstly you can only book a flight with them through the resveration lines. Secondly they only last 6 months. I would think that because you cannot book with them online then you pay the extra charges of booking via the telephone but I don't know that for sure. There was a complaint that a guy couldn't get to use his voucher within the 6 months because he couldnt get through on the reservation line. He claims he spent something like 40 euro in call charges trying to use the 50 euro voucher.

Are you sure there is no CC charge applied to the vouchers when purchasing them.
