    If you're stumped on what skills/items to get for a hero there are some nice guides in the dota forums strategy section here:

    Don't take them for gospel though, I'd recommend them more as pointers because most people explain why they get most items and you'll eventually figure out what stats you like on what heroes and what they need item wise to balance them out.
