    Hi guys,
PC world are currently selling a HP printer with wi fi for €99.99.
It has all the usual features.

Just wondering though is this really a bargain?
Will I be able to buy cheap refills or get the ink cartridges themselves refilled?

Sorry dont have the name of the printer.

I'd say you could refill those. Depending on the cartridge (hp have a buttload of different cartridges for their current printers) it takes, the inks could work out average or rubbish value. I think that one uses HP 21 and 22. Those cartridges are pretty crap value for money. They are around €15/€20 and have a very small capacity (around 4ml). Epson and canon inks are pretty good calue for money. I'd opt for one of those instead although I don't think either canon or epson have a wireless printer and if they do it'll probably be more expensive than €100.

I'm underawed at this deal, it'll drink ink. If you're gonna refill ink cartridges, do it on an older, out of warranty printer.

I think are a couple of good deals in that flyer though, the €599 sony laptop, the €15 4gb memory, and the €25 laptop bag/mouse/1gb memory key

    Why do you say that?

When you put refilled/recycled/remanufactured ink into a printer, if theres a problem with it spewing ink or not printing, you cant claim on the warranty for failure. The non original carts void the warranty.

The only time that happens is when they are not refilled properly. If you are sending back a printer you dont have to send back your cartridges and anyway the carts you get with it are pretty rubbish. There is a black cartridge that can print up to 1000 pages available for that printer. Thats pretty amazing for an inkjet printer as some of the low range lasers print 1500 pages per toner. There is a good high capacity cartridges available for these machines and that makes it a good deal. Very good printers for printing photos.

The bank holiday deal thing is over so some of those offers may not still be valid.
