In summary, the Attraction is base-spec (very basic), the Ambition is the "sports" one and Ambiente is the "luxury/comfort" model (complete with awful fake wood!)

Ambition is the one to go for IMO.

Is this the equivalent of standard, SE and Sport in the UK?

Yes, same idea.It would be a lot easier to understand if they just stuck to the uk spec names:rolleyes:

Oddly enough, its only the UK that use the SE / Sport badges... the rest of Europe uses the ambition/ambiente tags to the best of my knowledge.

Odd that they use "ambiente" and all.Thats also a spec that is used by skoda in the octavia and fabia.Wouldnt have audi would want to shar spec names with skoda but they might have not have noticed yet:D.I also seem to find Irish spec names hard to keep track of compare to the UK.Especially in cars like toyotas and vws.

The new A4 is Attraction/Ambiente/Ambition in South Africa, where it's base/SE/Sport here.

There seems to be little consistency to which is used for what territory...
