again .... nothing. Try just posting the direct bebo link

Your search - Ghost_Hunters_TIPS - did not match any documents.

    Suggestions:
Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
    Try different keywords.
    Try more general keywords

Starting out can be as hard as it is fun so if you've any questions then feel free to post them up here - plenty of folks with loads of experience to help you out.

Convention is on the 11th OCtober - click my signature for more info.

what kind of gadgets and stuff do you use

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37 mahomaho

well at the moment we were gonna get a starter kit but it turned out to be €250 including s&h fees
so were just gonna get the stuff seperate instead. were gonna save up for a digital voice recorder first then maybe a enf reader and ohter equioment if possible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,247 ✭✭✭✭6th

I'm sure most will agree with me when I say dont buy one of those pre-made kits - generally a waste of money.

If you want to get a digital dictaphone then I suggest the Olympus WS-311M - play back from the recorder may not sound great b ut when transfered to a computer the quality is excellent. Its a good price on ebay at the moment: http://cgi.ebay.ie/NEW-Olympus-WS-311M-digital-voice-recorder-WS-311M-mp3_W0QQitemZ160268157968QQihZ006QQcategoryZ62041QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

welcome to boards Damo. Keep in contact , a lot of groups have boards posters, we are all due a big meet up soon anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,952 ✭✭✭✭Stoner

Yeah stay away from the kits, I got one before it was good, but most of the stuff was below par. You'd be amazed at what you guys already have at home anyway. Some one will have a recorder etc. just sit down with the lads and check out what you have, last thing you want is everyone showing up with a humidity tester but no EMF meter.

Sounds like you guys are just starting out. Hope you keep at it and that it works out for you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37 mahomaho

well i just ran a cleanup on an old voice rocerding we did from few months and i think we found an EVP what i can make out is something like "help me"
and this was recorded in naas memorial beside the lake just down the road where Swans shop is

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 782 ✭✭✭DANNY22XX

the only thing when you record outside its hard to call it an evp because of contamination,,,,what did you use to clean it up with,,,,if you filterd it it can give the wrong impression of an evp,,,,

and never go over recordings a month after you should do it when it is fresh in your mind of what you did the night before,,,,someone could of coughed and you wouldnt remember,,,can we hear the evp

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37 mahomaho

yeah i can hear it its a females voice
just keep in mind that there was noone else around at the time of night and there was only us 3 lads around the place.
also this was a part of a sound clip that was extremly quit and was amlpified 4 or 5 times before i heard it
