I had an idea for a fun day out a while ago, so we are giving it a go at Dublin Camera Club. It's a Treasure Hunt but done with Camera. We have set a course the last weekend, from Dublin City Centre & finishing out at Laragh in Wicklow. People form teams (minimum of 2, up to the capacity of the car) Each team has one Digital Camera (set for jpeg) & are given the clues for the course. Along the way the team has tp photograph certain items. Points will be awarded for getting the correct item & bonus points for the best photo of each one. There are also a set of "scavenger photos" to get along the way.

We meet at a Pub & the teams download their images to a Laptop for Scoring. We have a meal & maybe some liquid refreshments.

It's set for Sunday 24th August. Hopefully it will be a fun day out.

Meeting up at DCC at 10.30am on Sun 24th August. It is an activity for members, of which there are a few on here. We may be able to put in a few "guests" if there is some interest. I will check that out. We all meet up again at Lynhams in Laragh at 1.30pm.

If the participants have half as much fun doing the course as we did setting it, then it will be a really good day out.

I've been thinking about joining a camera club. Couldn't do that day though, I'm staying in Athy the night before and that's a bit early!

So where does the DCC meet?

If I can get an invitation, would some from on here be interested in entering a team?
