A MAN who went missing from his home for seven days has been found after burying himself in woods near a river, writes Fergus Black.

The 50-year-old Hungarian national, who only arrived in Ireland a week before his mystery disappearance, had made a hole in the ground before covering himself with black bags and vegetation. His motive for doing so is not yet known.

A massive search for the missing man ended on Wednesday after a member of the search team saw his shoe sticking out of the ground in a densely forested area near Navan.

The garda underwater unit and Drogheda coastguard had carried out a number of searches in River Boyne after his housemate reported him missing after he went out for a walk.

The man was rushed to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan where his condition was "stable".

Wonder if he was trying to kill himself or living extra rough?

He was probably trying to play a prank and scare someone, but the person never walked through the woods.

I bet he was planning on jumping out and scaring the bejaysus outta them.

That's some dedication to a game of Hide & Go Seek right there.

I seen the spot in Navan. It's at the river walk along the bank.
I'm sure he just became wired to the moon

im slightly puzzled at this story and please feel free to give out to me for my ditziness but, this guy, covers himself all over in black bags and then buries himself, in the paper it also said that he had a bottle of water with him. How could the guy manage to cover the ''grave'' back over and also manage to drink from the water if he was covered in the black bags?!?!

Again, I am quite ditzi at times, so I do apologise!!!! :D

Maybe he's a vampire,, like Dracula,, and now they've unleashed him on all the sick people in Navan hospital. ,,, those fools

All the east european nurses who work in hospitals in Ireland are vampires. They keep drinking the blood of all the patients.. That's why our hospitals are so bad and everyone keeps dying in them.
