I'm looking to order a TMV to reduce the temperature of the water coming from our hot taps. I'm struggling to find a model online that is in the right range 55-60C. Please send a PM to avoid breaking any rules. Thanks

55-60C is too hot for a domestic tap, you should be able to get them from any plumbers site or store, usually the output temperature to the taps is set to 40C.

Soon to be a legal requirement (if not already) in non-domestic environments where there is a risk of scolding.

Surely 40 isn't hot enough. A shower is about 40 but normally that would be too cold for a bath.
Also hand washing sometimes needs a higher temperature.

40 is spot on what you need for a bath, so it would be ideal to have that as the tap maximum

no need to mix in some cold manually before you can sit in

I tested 40 and it wasn't hot enough for me. 45 was just perfect.
Even Wikipedia talks about TMVs having a 48 maximum in some countries
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermostatic_Mixing_Valve

A 48 max would be ok if such a TMV is available in Ireland.

According to that article the scolding temperature is 50c, having it at 48 is dangerously close IMHO, 45 - that's a hot! bath.
Going back to the original query yes they are available you adjust the temperature yourself on them.

Yes I do like it hot. It wouldn't be as dangerous as it is at the moment without one ... 60+. I can see why they should be mandatory.
I'll see what the local plumber supplies have to offer. Thanks for the help.

Yes my mother used to scold me something awful if I ran the bath too hot, finger wagging and all

    Sorry just couldn't resist :D

One thing to note is that you must make sure you install a high flow rate TMV. It should be one that's rated for bath usage and not a sink one. It's often recommended to install one size bigger than your pipework too to prevent flow rate restrictions. Also recommended to have filters on both the hot and cold water inlets as TMVs can be sensitive to dirt entering them.

Have PM'd you in case you've any difficulties with your local plumbing supplier.
