Two PAYE jobs, how to split credits

I have two PAYE jobs. I logged into the Revenue online system (PAYE) and split my credits 50/50. I pay alot of tax sometimes depending on my weekly pay, which is based on hours and can vary.

Can I assume that the Revenue Commissioners will repay me any overpaid tax automatically after 31/12/08, or can that not even happen.

Cant help you but maybe you'd have better luck moving it to accountancy

yeah if you have unused credits from one job you can use them to write off tax paid through the other job..thus gettin a refund.

Just send both your P60 s to tax office in 2009 requesting a review of your taxes.

    thanks for the reply

but why do I need to send the revenue commissioners a document that they themselves printed?! (my P60s)

I think you can just ring the tax office with your PRSI number and ask for a P21 balancing statement. If they owe you any money it will be sent out with that. If you stop working altogether before then, you can do the same.

You can get this online as well.

    your employer issues the P60.
they also issue p60 details to revenue but this could take a while.
best off just sending in a copy in january requesying a P21 from revenue ( review of your taxes)
