Meself and a few lads just betting amoungst each other - highest finisher got the pool! Hardcore gambling eh!! ;) Davenport Democrat and Matters and Hand sorted me out nicely!

Going to spend my money at the bookies tomorrow though - any thoughts? Maybe an accumulator over 3 races or something?

    Thanks!

The Galway card for tomorrow is full of risk to my eyes with a couple of nasty trappy races and some big field "pin-stickers", the best bet could be in the 3.00 a toss up between Reisk Superman (who won on Tuesday) and Bauhaus with Nina Carberry, the latter is 1 stone lighter (well the horse is)

Thanks man. I only want to bet on one race anyway. I'll check out the odds on those in the morning.

Is it a correct blind-guess to say that the lighter horse will run better if it's wet?

Backed Danny Mullins rides today in a lucky 15 and had an e/w accum. There was €2500 going on his last ride @ 66/1  Still, made a few pound off the lucky 15 so happy days.

Anyway, onwards and upwards to Saturday! Couple of dodgy races that are best watched today. I met Barry Cash in CPs on Thursday nite and he said his two rides at the weekend should go close. Having said that, he is Barry Cash and I take any tips from a Jock with a large pinch of salt. Right, here they are!

2.30 Noble Crusader (Rolyn Rock is Cash's mount in this. Small ew bet on it)
    3.05 One More Minute NAP
    3.35 Spes Ultima
    4.05 Gluteus Maximus
    4.35 Sesenta NB
    5.05 Dark Humour
    5.35 City Meaning

    nap?

Your 'NAP' is to put it simply, your banker horse.

No. If you are new to HR and betting on horses, have a look at the form of the horse before you bet, as a general rule.

There are websites at the top of this forum that will give you alot of form information. You can use www.irishracing.com to check out the cards, and the form of the horses running in Galway tomorrow (or any other meetings).

Of course weight plays a part, but look for all the signs, such as when the horse last ran, the jockey, where he finished last time out, the going (ground), and it should allow you to make a better and more informed decision.

Boyle Sports website gave me 15euro free to bet today for some reason. Put 11 of it on Spes Ultima to win. If it comes in, I win 176 euro. If I lose, or it places, meh, was free money anyway!

    Fantoche is a non runner.

Kinda fancy Bahrain Storm e/w in that race too.
