    Hi,
I am looking at buying some ryanair shares on sharewatch. When i check the sharewatch site it says ryanair closed at 2.38 but when i login to my sharewatch account and click "get price" the offer price is 2.4375 its confusing me. Is this the price that i buy at or.....? and what is the difference between the bid and offer price. apologies for the newbie questions.

    Rgds
    Tony

its the lowest price that someone is currently trying to sell at.
unless the shares are rising rapidly, you shouldnt accept the ask.
instead put in a limit order (offer) of a few cents lower than the ask but not too far off the bid (highest existing offer) . someone might or might not accept it. you can check back later to see if your orders been filled or if necessary change it.
