    Today in work, what an amazing day. I could well claim to having that 'friday feeling'. Everything went smoothly, calls were easy, spent most of the day posting lolcat pics on various forums.

    5pm rolled around quite quickly, so I promptly picked up my belongings, put on my hoody and made for the door with 3 other co-workers. Bunch of us chatting passing by the building site by the IFSC with 3 other stragglers.

    As you all know its been spilling rain so there were quite a few large 'puddles' around. As we were walking carefully by a rather large one (puddle 11 feet long, 4 feet wide) we all hear an engine revving. Then... slow motion like in the movie's occurred. I saw the C200 (merc) which had loads of space on the road purposely turn into the now tsunami-style puddle and drown us all.

    To add insult to injury his mate in another car did the whole thing again except he was in an opel corsa.

    2 things are wrong with the situation;
    1; we were all soaking wet and
    2; the ladies were not wearing white t-shirts

    I was a bit miffed as were all the other people. Around 8 people in total got soaked. Made my way to the 49 bus stop. Hopped on. Did I fail to mention that the water was right beside a building site? Therefore the colour of runny sh!t? Well the moar you know!

    Got on the bus, then the worst thing of all happened. The smell, my clothes were still ringing wet and now exuding a foul stench. Needless to say I had the whole seat to myself the whole bus journey home.

    As I got up to leave I noticed a middle aged woman crying (no doubt from the smell of my clothes) I thought, hey at least my day isn't as bad as hers... I was wrong. I come home to find the house has been egged quite methodically :pac:

    But guess what? I'm still in great form. Just out of the shower and thought I'd share my lil story.

    To the ásshole merc driver and his mates;

    Go slower next time, don't be a pussy and rev, we are never going to catch you anyway. If you would have went slower more water would have been displaced and we would have gotten wetter.

    So ladies and gentlemen, how was your friday? :D

    Good. went in to work late, came home early for lunch, buggered home again at 4:30. Nobody wants to work overtime at the weekend so I dont have to do keyholder duties, sun is shining on me now as I speak, and I can smell something very nice involving beef being prepared the kitchen by Mrs D. and, its a lalalalalalalalong weekend
    I love these fridays!

    Was off from work today on an uncertified sick day. At the beginning of a bank holiday I recommend it thoroughly.

    Had such a better day lazing around than eight hours of in house training!

    Next time it happens, gets the guys reg (yeah, I know easier said than done) and report him to the gardai for dangerous driving. considering that he revved up, drove at you and you have a number of witness, the points on his licence will smell a lot worse than your clothes:D

    At least you're still smiling.

    For my part, I got up at 6:00, browsed boards for a bit, did a few weights, had some breakfast, and then went to a water park with my daughter. have to say it was cool, and with a surprisingly large number of yummy mummies!!!

    I had a ****ty enough day that all started to go wrong with a meeting that started at about half ten and finished at about half three. My boss was tearing strips off our main hardware/support vendor for issues which have been going on for nearly 3 years and whilst the boss was right, I felt bad for the guy on the receiving end cause he's good stock and never leaves us stuck. All this along with the fact that the boss is away on holidays for 2 weeks so is handing out jobs and follow-ups and all sorts of things to be done at a rate of knots and I'm looking at my todo list for Tuesday alone and crying.

    However, half 5 came and it was time to go home and I had to call over to the Mont Clare to meet a lady who I'd helped a few months back by setting up some video interviews (i.e. I installed a web-cam and Skype on a machine ;)) and she had a €50 note in her hand for me which means the weekend is starting out with me in the black :)

    My good friend Mr Ronan|Raven is visiting for the weekend also and I'm about to go and meet him so things have worked out rather well.

    I had a great day Friday, had an argument with the missus before work, got a bollocking off the boss, had an arguement with another manager.
    but, what made my day was driving my merc home in the rain past the IFSC and I see this huge puddle................ :D
    Only joking ftr :P

    A driver tried that on us when we were walking home after a very rainy day in 5th year..

    purposefully moved close in to the kerb to hit this big big puddle..
    we got soaked alright, he went straight into a pothole though! ripped off his front bumper :D:D

    But fridays are always great!
