    Only heard the single Love Is Noise which is pretty good, more upbeat than their previous stuff, but reminds me a bit of a song from Richard Ashcrofts last solo album. Lookin forward to album though, good to have them back :)

    I didn't get the backlash against that album. Had some good tunes, and the lead single [ Break the Night with Colour] was up there with most of the stuff he has done with the Verve.

    Agree that the annoying loop-ing backtrack for Love is Noise puts it down a knock, but its still an excellent song. Really looking foward to new album.

    No, I agree with you, I really like his solo albums, even the first 2 which were critically panned, its just the vocal loop that you mentioned was done very similarly in his last solo record....but I'm just nit-picking, lookin forward to its release, hopefully they'll show a few of these new bands how it was done back in the good ol 90s :)

    If they'd replaced it with a normal bit of McCabe's guitar playing, old style, it would have been a classic song. As it is it's tolerable.
