Just going to give a quick mention about there customer care and service.

I had heard here on boards.ie about a month ago prior to me getting there broadband that there Customer Care was awful, but there offer was so good I was going to bare with any customer care they were going to give.

However, since I have there service I have been more than pleased with there customer care. Ok so my father rang about 2 weeks ago to cancel the phone with them and be downgraded to their Express broadband, when we got the next bill we were still being charged for everything. So I got onto them today, got through to them in about 4 mins, had the package downgraded immediately at no cost, and the charge for the phone last month was given back, this was because it actually was disconnected but still charged. The 33 euros for the Broadband Ultra had not been given back, this was because it was not downgraded and I had been using it, although I didnt notice until I got my bill this month. When I noticed on the bill I brought my laptop closer to the wireless router, where my jaw dropped at the download rates of 2,200kbps. Nice!

So anyways, there broadband is solid, and as far as I can see so is there customer care.

Well done UPC, keep it up.

    Coz.

EDIT: Reason for cancelling the phone was due to my house having an monitored alarm, but I'm looking into this and I'm pretty sure ill be back with there max package 20mb BB, for 79 a month pretty soon.

EDIT2: Actually on a side thought, I think I should mention that cancelling broadband with Eircom was pretty straight forward also, no hassle.
