I don't see a nice way of doing it, the LCM is just the product of those ugly-ass denominators.
It's adding polynomial fractions as usual, but uglier.
Who's setting these questions? They'd make for one rough exam.

Its a resit examination that we were allowed do at home. Because of this, it was made extra hard. Doesnt matter now though, handed it in an hour ago.

Seems a bit dishonest to ask us to do it for you then.

This is why I rarely explicitly solve problems for people, just give hints.

That's poor form Archimedes. Next time mention it's a take home exam please.

Damn, and I was just bout to post up an answer, (really bored over the summer!)
Couldn't get anything to cancel once I added everything above the line though.

That's almost the correct answer to the problem in your Help Urgently Needed thread, except it should be -1 at the end instead of -x.

For future reference, it's not a great idea to post a question like that in a relatively high-profile place where one of your lecturers could easily see it, using an account which you have 3,000 posts on, and which has your real name attached to it.

Maybe there should be a note in the Forum Rules regarding homework and related questions. Something whereby the asker has to have made some attempt (possibly very litte, but something nonetheless) and that you shouldn't just give someone the complete answer...

That way people should hopefully learn a bit and, we don't just end up doing other people's homework.
